First in the series of Pain Masks, The Avocet embodies Ali's desire for inner harmony. The pursuit of harmony can often leave some with feelings of discontent. Held together by the tension of the threads around a wire skeleton, this mask grips the wearer's head like a vice. Light filters through the membrane passing through three sets of intertwined thread cords.

I am a visual communicator working in digital, print, and motion production for web, email, and social media sharing. I'm a problem-solver with a collaborative mindset and a natural talent for iterative production design. I excel in such design programs as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects/Premiere Pro, Blender, Rhinoceros 7, and Canva. I have a background of professional experience in production design and am armed with a diverse skill set and expertise in visual communication, motion graphics, and iterative design.
